Department of Electrical Engineering

Human society is expected to develop while maintaining harmony with nature.

The Department of Electrical Engineering strives to train electrical engineers who can contribute to the realization of this imperative through electrical engineering—that is, who combine broad knowledge of electricity with a high level of application and practical skill―and who are aware of the social responsibilities that accompany these skills.

To achieve this goal, the curriculum starts by offering students a general education in the social sciences and humanities.

Students study the basics of engineering in areas such as mathematics, physics, and chemistry before gradually progressing to specialized knowledge related to electric engineering in such areas as energy, electric materials, information and telecommunications, and automatic control.

Finally, they hone this knowledge and associated skills through graduation research.

The Department continually reviews the content of the curriculum in light of changes in the tenor of the era to ensure that students are consistently able to study the most recent knowledge.
