The Department of Architecture trains architects who can appropriately accommodate social and technological needs by creating fulfilling architectural and urban spaces that are beautiful, comfortable, and safe.
To that end, the educational program teaches fundamental knowledge in the humanities and social sciences, mathematics, physics, and other disciplines, followed by broad, comprehensive knowledge needed by architectural engineers in the four areas of Structures and Materials, Environment and Equipment, History and Design, and Planning and Design.
It also helps them master practical specialized skills on an advanced level in line with their personalities and future goals.
Advanced, specialized courses, including planning for fourth‐year students, seek to provide an educational experience that acknowledges changes in society and advances in technology while working with regional partners by incorporating the latest research findings.
