Central Research Institute

Since its founding in 1956, the Central Research Institute has been engaged in academic research and study in various fields in a close cooperative relationship with society at large. In April 2011, the Institute was restructured into the Research Department and the Industrial Intellectual Properties Department, between them combining the former groups handling research, collaboration between academia, government and industry, and intellectual property. The Institute pursues general research as well as collaborative projects that involve industry, academia, and government as part of a dynamic program of activities that draw on the University's promise to contribute to society through its intellectual resources.
