The Information Technology Center helps students look toward the future by offering an extensive range of information and communications technologies (ICT).
The Center recognizes the importance of preparing students to contribute to the development of society while utilizing ICT, and it offers an educational and research environment in an effort to achieve that goal. The environment it provides consists of secure communications infrastructure (in the form of a campus network) and multifunctional information systems (educational and research media systems). The Center works to enhance its environment in terms of both hardware and software through continued development in partnership with on-and off-campus organizations.
One example of the hardware the Center provides is its group learning classrooms. These classrooms have been designed to help improve students' communication skills and ICT skills. Since students can learn while interacting with others while using ICT in the classroom, the environment provides an ideal setting for active learning. By learning in such an environment, students are able to gain skills that will be essential in their life as working adults. One example of the software the Center provides is its e-learning system. The system is useful for both live classes in classrooms and remote instruction, and it facilitates efficient and effective study.
The Information Technology Center will continue to advance the educational and research environment while looking toward the future of our society and that of our students so that it can provide an environment in which students can grow and develop to meet society's expectations.
