Press Conference about the establishment of the Fukuoka University Carbon Neutral Promotion Center

p In April of 2021, Fukuoka University (FU) made the establishment of Carbon Neutral Promotion Center its core carbon neutral activity. On June 3, 2022, FU held a press conference and received news coverage about its carbon neutral activities. At the conference, Fukuoka University President/FU CN Promotion Center President Dr. Keijiro Saku gave a greeti_Promotion Center Executive Director (Engineering Faculty, Mechanical Department)/Professor Junichiro Yamabe explained about the university’s organization including the five teams to implement a zero emissions campus by 2050 including the five teams. After that, each team – CN Campus, Research Promotion, Regional Partnerships, Human Resources Development and International Partnerships Team -Leaders spoke about their teams’ respective activities. Subsequently, a Q. & A./ session was held. After the press conference ended, members of the press and other guests could observe the manufacture of clean fuels, hydrogen storage and low carbon concrete technologies at related facilities. Fukuoka University from now through research, education, regional as well as international partnerships will promote from different perspectives a carbon neutral society.
